Africa's premier mining and construction trade fair
BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA, which entered the market in 2013 with great success, has already established itself as the top event for the sector in the growth market of sub-Saharan Africa.

Let's take a brief look back: How was BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA in 2015?
BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA 2015 was another great success; the trade fair saw 616 exhibitors from 42 countries displaying the latest technologies and innovations to the African market. There was an increase in visitors from sub-Saharan Africa and by establishing itself as the premier mining and construction trade fair in Africa in 2013, the September 2015 event saw a significant increase in high-calibre visitors.
14,300 visitors from 75 countries attended the second edition of the trade fair. 13 percent of the visitors came from outside of South Africa with a significant increase in percentage from sub-Saharan Africa. The top five visiting countries from Africa besides the host country were: Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique and Botswana. In addition, for the first time there were delegations from Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria and Zambia.
What are your expectations for the next show in 2018?
Even in a tough market we are positive about the success of our 3rd edition. We hope to provide our clients with a strong networking platform to meet, connect and expand with the African market.
BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA 2018 will take place in March. What are the reasons for these new dates?
After discussions with our clients and partners we made the decision to move the trade fair into a three-year cycle. We feel that this decision is ideal for the industry and the region, it is tailor made to the current needs of the African market. It also gives all the companies involved the chance to prepare thoroughly for such a large event.

In 2013, an impressive 535,065 visitors from over 200 countries attended bauma. In total, 3,421 exhibitors from 57 countries presented their latest products and innovations in construction and mining machinery on a record exhibition space of 575,000 square meters.

The last bC India 2014 was a great and successful show in a year with very tough market conditions. Despite a still sluggish market in India, bC India 2014 was of a similar size to the show in 2013; its brand recognition as well as its reputation were strengthened among the exhibitors and visitors.

… the community for the Asian construction machinery industry
bauma China 2016 attracted more than 170,000 visitors from 149 countries and regions as well as 2,953 exhibitors from 41 countries. The show occupied all 300,000 square meters of exhibition space at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

Nearly 130,000 visitors from over 150 countries went to Las Vegas to see the newest products and technologies for the construction industries. International visitors accounted for 24 percent of the total registered attendance. CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014 featured over 2,400 exhibitors who occupied more than 218,000 square meters of net exhibition space at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Bringing the CONEXPO brand of industry-run events to Latin America
The inaugural show brought more than 32,600 visitor from around the world to Santiago, Chile. Featuring 300 exhibitors and seminars covering 40,000 m² with the latest equipment, technology, materials and services. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) will continue to bring its expertise to the construction industry in Latin America to create regional tradeshows and world class events.
